Withnell Angling Club is based in the Withnell Parish boundary, a group of small villages in between Chorley and Blackburn. It was set up in 1967, mainly to promote fishing for young people in the local area.
Since then the club has grown, offering a variety of good coarse fishing to all anglers.
The club has nine coarse fishing still-waters, and a stretch of river on the River Darwen, near Samlesbury. These waters contain a variety of coarse fish species such as Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Crucian Carp, Tench, Chub, F1 Carp, Golden Orfe, Ide, Eels and Pike.
All of these waters can be fished when purchasing a Withnell Angling club permit.
